MBBR(Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor)is a type of wastewater treatment system that uses a biofilm to remove organic matter and pollutants from water.The biofilm is formed on the surface of the MBBR media,which provides a large surface area for microbial growth.MBBR media can be classified into different types based on their material composition,such as plastic media,ceramic media,and composite media.Plastic media,such as HDPE or PVC,are commonly used due to their high surface area and durability.Ceramic media,on the other hand,provide a more stable environment for microbial growth.Composite media combine the advantages of both plastic and ceramic media,offering a balance between surface area and stability.
